Convin is looking for a highly skilled and innovative Machine Learning Engineer to build and scale our AI-driven solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that power our product offerings. You will work closely with product, engineering, and data teams to translate business problems into robust ML systems that deliver measurable impact.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will focus on model development, data pipelines, experimentation, and productionization of ML solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. You will play a key role in advancing our AI capabilities and continuously improving model accuracy, efficiency, and real-world applicability.

This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, software engineering, and data, enabling you to turn cutting-edge research into production-ready systems that enhance user experience and drive business outcomes.

💼 Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models focused on audio domains like speech-to-text, speaker separation, and diarization.
• Research and prototype cutting-edge solutions to boost the accuracy and efficiency of our audio processing systems.
• Work closely with senior engineers to optimize and integrate ML components into Convin’s products.
• Participate in code reviews, share constructive feedback, and uphold best coding practices.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in machine learning, AI, NLP, and signal processing — applying the latest advancements to our work.
• Contribute to building end-to-end speech and language systems.
• Assist in leveraging and training large-scale language models like ChatGPT, LLAMA, Falcon, and more.

✅ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier institute (IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, IIIT, IISc Bangalore preferred)
• Up to 3 years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, AI, NLP, or signal processing
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ (mandatory)
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts (mandatory)
• Strong foundation in Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) (mandatory)
• Good grasp of core Computer Science fundamentals including System Design, DBMS, and Operating Systems (mandatory)
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Knowledge of speech-to-text, text-to-speech, speaker separation, and diarization techniques is a plus
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and algorithms
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a quick learning mindset
• Effective communicator and a strong team player
• Exposure to large language models (e.g., ChatGPT, LLaMA, Falcon) is an added advantage

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Familiarity with advanced ML/LLM tooling and deployment frameworks such as vLLM, Fairseq, NVIDIA NeMo, or Triton
