Presales Solutions Architect – Cloud & AI Infrastructure (VMware / OpenStack / OpenShift)

We are seeking a Presales Solutions Architect to lead technical engagements across enterprise infrastructure, platform, and AI-ready solutions within the Coredge ecosystem.

This role involves working closely with Sales and Customer IT teams to assess existing infrastructure landscapes, application environments, workload requirements, and emerging AI use cases, translating them into robust, scalable, and interoperable solution architectures. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing integrated infrastructure stacks encompassing virtualization platforms, private cloud frameworks, container orchestration layers, software-defined networking and storage, AI workload infrastructure, and hybrid deployment models.

The role requires active participation in technical discovery sessions, infrastructure assessments, AI workload discussions, architecture definition, solution sizing, and platform integration conversations. The candidate will contribute to development of High-Level Designs (HLDs), architecture blueprints, and solution BOMs, ensuring alignment with customer performance, scalability, availability, and security requirements across enterprise and AI-driven environments.

• Work closely with Sales teams during customer engagements to understand technical, infrastructure, and AI workload requirements
• Design integrated solution architectures based on VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift, and AI-ready infrastructure platforms
• Provide technical consultation on virtualization, private cloud, container platforms, and AI infrastructure enablement
• Participate in discovery workshops, technical discussions, and solution presentations
• Respond to customer technical queries during presales cycles (RFPs / RFIs / Technical Evaluations)
• Develop high-level solution designs (HLDs), architecture diagrams, and bill of materials
• Support technical demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), AI use-case validations, and solution testing
• Assist in infrastructure and AI workload sizing (compute, GPU, storage, network considerations where applicable)
• Collaborate with delivery and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are implementation-ready
• Stay updated with evolving infrastructure, container, and AI platform technologies

• Hands-on experience with:
• VMware virtualization stack (vSphere / NSX / vSAN)
• OpenStack-based private cloud platforms
• Red Hat OpenShift container platform
• Strong understanding of:
• Compute, storage, and networking fundamentals
• Software-defined infrastructure (SDI / HCI)
• Containerization and Kubernetes ecosystems
• Hybrid cloud and private cloud architectures
• AI workload infrastructure fundamentals (GPU-based workloads, AI platform deployment considerations)
• Experience supporting presales activities such as:
• Solution design
• Technical presentations
• Customer workshops
• RFP / RFI responses
• Demos and PoCs
• Ability to translate customer requirements into scalable architecture designs
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Prior experience in a Presales / Solutions Architect role within enterprise infrastructure domain
• Exposure to AI platform deployments or GPU-enabled infrastructure environments
• Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure lifecycle and deployment models
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in enterprise infrastructure and platform technologies (Preferred)
