Job Overview

As an SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect, you will define and drive Coupang’s SAP transformation across key business domains including Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations. You will partner with business leaders, technology teams, and global stakeholders to design scalable, integrated SAP S/4 HANA solutions aligned with Coupang’s rapid growth and evolving business landscape.

You will be responsible for leading solution architecture, defining end-to-end business process designs, guiding technical teams, and ensuring SAP platforms meet enterprise-class standards in performance, reliability, integration, and security. This role will directly influence Coupang’s core operational systems and will require strong expertise in SAP S/4 HANA, cross-functional process knowledge, and enterprise-level architecture skills.

This role will additionally contribute to building the Coupang India Technology Center and help establish best practices, engineering culture, and cross-region collaboration frameworks.

What You Will Do

•Lead the architecture and design of SAP S/4 HANA solutions across modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, and TM

•Architect end-to-end business processes aligned to Coupang’s e-commerce, logistics, and fulfilment operations

•Define integration patterns between SAP S/4 HANA and internal Coupang systems (OMS, WMS, Finance systems, 3rd-party applications)

•Develop and maintain the SAP enterprise architecture road map, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals

•Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, data models, extensibility (BTP), Fiori UX, and cloud deployment models

•Review functional and technical specifications to ensure architectural consistency and solution quality

•Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams across multiple geographies to design scalable, high-performance SAP solutions

•Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system optimisation within the SAP landscape

•Mentor SAP functional and technical teams; drive architectural governance and design reviews

Ensure SAP platforms meet enterprise-class SLAs for performance, reliability, availability, and security

•Support major SAP initiatives including S/4 HANA rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and greenfield/brownfield implementations.

Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

•12–18+ years of overall experience with at least 8–10 years in SAP S/4 HANA solution architecture

•Deep hands-on expertise across multiple SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, TM, etc.)

•Proven experience designing large-scale enterprise SAP landscapes and integrations

•Strong understanding of SAP BTP, Fiori, CDS Views, IDocs, and API Hub

•Experience leading multi-country/multi-business-unit SAP transformations

•Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

•Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience in e-commerce, retail, logistics, or large-scale supply chain organisations

•Hands-on SAP S/4 HANA implementation experience in greenfield or brownfield programs

•Prior experience with cloud-based SAP deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

•Strong understanding of architecture frameworks and methodologies (TOGAF, SAP Activate)

•Experience contributing to distributed, global SAP teams.

Hybrid Work Model

Coupang’s hybrid work model requires employees to work minimum 3 days per week from the office, with flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. Certain business functions may require additional office presence based on operational needs.
