We are seeking highly motivated and talented Graduate Technology Associates to join our country tech teams. This role is designed for fresh engineering graduates who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to shaping the future of banking through system design, implementation, and ongoing support. Job Purpose:

Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Technology Associate focusing on Design, Implementation, and Support, you will be involved in various aspects of technology operations, including but not limited to:

• System Design and Architecture: Contribute to the conceptualization and design of robust, scalable, and efficient technology solutions for various banking functions. This involves understanding business requirements and translating them into technical designs.
• Technology Implementation: Participate in the deployment, configuration, and integration of new and existing software applications and infrastructure components. This may involve working with various platforms and tools to ensure successful system rollout.
• Technical Problem Solving and Support: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to ensure system stability and performance. Provide ongoing support for critical systems, addressing incidents and fulfilling service requests. Work together to solve scalability problems involving enormous amounts of data and information and fast-tracking banking product launches. Solve the challenges/problems you've been given.
• System Reliability and Operations: Support the monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This includes proactive identification of potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
• Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems: Work with cloud-native technologies, DBS database technologies, and gain exposure to API Management and distributed systems. Participate in various technological experiments DBS is performing in the technology space like GenAI, Cloud Data Platform set up, Machine Learning, etc., focusing on their implementation and operational aspects.
• Data Management and Analytics Implementation: Participate in the design and implementation of data engineering activities, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and database management. For Data Engineers, this includes effectively translating Business, Functional, and Technical requirements.
• Security and Risk Management Implementation: Understand and adhere to application security engineering principles, and contribute to the implementation and enforcement of secure and resilient systems within DBS's technology risk management framework. Learn how the Safest Bank in Asia manages its security and risk better than any other.
• Automation and Operational Excellence: Learn and apply DevOps principles for operational efficiency, and utilize automation tools to streamline processes and enhance system management.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively within agile teams, collaborate with various stakeholders, and communicate technical concepts clearly. Learn the banking products, their lifecycle, and enable Business & Operations teams with Technology solutions working with country and global teams (in Singapore).
• Continuous Learning: Actively engage in learning new technologies, tools, and best practices to stay updated with industry trends. Able and willing to challenge the status quo with out-of-the-box thinking while proposing alternate solutions to the problems.
• Product Portfolio Implementation: Extend and expand DBS’s banking product portfolio by participating in the implementation and integration of new features and products. Participate in a wide range of projects involving Lending, Onboarding, Payments, Credit Cards, Industry Partnership, Government Projects, Trade Finance, Treasury & Markets Products.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Energy, or Metallurgy streams from a premier institution (e.g., IITs).
• 60% score or equivalent CGPA throughout the academic career.
• No backlogs or arrears at the time of the interview.
• Strong foundational knowledge in computer science principles, including operating systems, networking, and system architecture.
• Familiarity with logical and physical system design concepts.
• Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) for automation and troubleshooting purposes is a plus.
• Familiarity with database concepts and SQL.
• A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership potential, initiative, and a proactive approach.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
• Able to travel to Development Centres in Hyderabad & Singapore to participate in technology workshops.
