The role:

As a development engineer, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions to business problems. This usually begins with defining, analysing the requirements. Managing requirements at the project level can help fulfil business needs. Solutions often include a software-systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development. You will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of the code both from a DBS param and incorporating into the overall Kernel solutions across the business units we support

The candidate should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and have the ability and desire to learn. Candidate also require having greater flexibility, greater discipline, and the willingness to work in an evolutionary manner.

Responsibilities:

• Perform parameterization and customization in Avaloq Core Banking Platform.
• Analyse business requirements and design / propose software solutions.
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code to ensure best possible performance and quality.
• Provide technical expertise and support for internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach junior Avaloq developers.
• Assist project / programme managers in project planning & project strategies.
  
  

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of development experience in Avaloq Core Banking Platform.
• Participation in multiple Avaloq Core Banking Platform implementations in various business / technical streams.
• Ability to develop high level software designs and solutions.
• Excellent analytical skills and systematic approach to problem solving.
• Ability to articulate complex technical issues to business stakeholders.
• Good understanding of core business processes and products in the private banking industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good commandof written and spoken English.
