The Consumer Banking Group Data management team drives the implementation of machine learning solutions to enable key business priorities across our six key markets.
We develop large scale machine learning solutions to drive customer experience, enable product sales and engagement. We want to push the boundary on data and AI and create meaningful solutions that can help and assist our customers and differentiate DBS from the competition.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will
- Develop and drive the strategy on developing and deploying wealth advisory AI/ML solutions to drive key strategic objectives for the Wealth Management Group covering Treasures, Treasures Private Client and Private Banking segments
- Co-own the data and AI layer within the next-generation Relationship Manager (RM) workbench, ensuring that market insights, investment recommendations, next-best-action for wealth advisory and solutions, and GenAI/Agentic AI co-pilot capabilities are natively embedded into RM daily workflows rather than delivered as standalone solutions.
- Identify and develop solutions for areas of significant impact (P&L, Customer Experience, Productivity) and work with respective wealth product and platform leads across markets to curate use cases
- Improve data and AI/ML capabilities through analytics, machine learning, GenAI and Agentic AI across initiatives โ identify synergies and cross leverage solutions for scaling the adoption and impact of AI/ML solutions
- Establish standards and best practices for testing and deploying AI/ML solutions to production environment
- Ensure AI/ML solutions are aligned with governance frameworks, from model explainability to model monitoring
- Drive adoption of responsible AI practices, ensuring model fairness, explainability, and compliance with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Research, identify and integrate advanced AI/ML solutions to enable sustainable business value creation
- Drive creation of reusable assets and share learning across the broader team
- Provide thought leadership and mentoring for junior team members in creating AI and data science solutions
- Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in analytics, data science and AI. Evaluate new business solutions and frameworks for enterprise and wealth management adoption
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, or equivalent quantitative fields preferred. Strong mathematical and statistics background.
- 10+ years of experience in industry (ideally consumer banking, wealth management, investment, insurance, ecommerce, telecoms, retail) and/or academia with demonstrated track record of innovative research, AI/ML model operationalization, insights generation and translating insights into tools and processes delivering business results
- Strong track record in hands-on development of machine learning models, GenAI and Agentic AI solutions
- Experience in large language models, including supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, prompt engineering, agent design and build, and governance frameworks
- Hands on experience with Python, SQL, Spark (PySpark and SparkSQL), Java and Scala
- Experience in deployment and integration of AI/ML solutions in production environments
- Proven capability in identifying, prioritizing and structuring use cases, by aligning with business priorities and strategic goals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinker
- Good interpersonal skill and able to influence the decision-making with senior business managers
- Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
