Role Description

The Data & Analytics team in DI IT is looking for a senior data engineer. We are setting up a One Data Platform to bring together data from various data sources around the business (ERP, CRM, and various other applications). The data platform is built with Databricks, and the reports with Power BI. To be able to expand, we are looking for a senior data engineer to join the team.

What are we looking for?

Must have:

• At least 8 years’ experience as a Data Engineer, ideally with Microsoft technologies

• Know your way around Azure, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, MS Fabric and Power BI

• Understand lakehouse architectures and ETL/ELT flows

• Be proficient in SQL language in all its aspects

• Have knowledge of the Python language (or Spark)

• Has experience ingesting data from a variety of data sources (SQL database, Rest API, etc.)

• Knows data modelling with facts and dimensions

• Is fluent in English, both oral and written

• Can work independently, can take up tasks without micro-management / intensive coaching

• Must be proactive, have a critical mindset and be quality-oriented

Nice to have:

• Experience in more advanced analytics cases (e.g., AI aspects, data science, etc.)

• Knowledge of other Microsoft tooling, e.g., Power Apps, other Azure components, etc.

• Experience working in international teams and contexts
