Work you’ll do

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer – Consultant to join our USI Tax Technology team. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI and LLM-powered solutions that directly support Deloitte Tax professionals and clients. As an AI Engineer, you will assist and support Deloitte Tax in the following areas:

As an AI Engineer, you will take end-to-end ownership of AI solutions, from conception through production deployment. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop production-grade LLM-powered applications and Generative AI solutions that address complex business and tax-related challenges.
• Build and integrate AI capabilities — including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering frameworks — into enterprise applications and services.
• Help Architect and implement scalable AI integrations across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
• Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models using structured and unstructured data, applying techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, and fine-tuning of large language models.
• Own MLOps practices including model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, performance monitoring, bias detection, data drift management, and model retraining workflows.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, business analysts, and tax professionals to translate complex requirements into scalable, maintainable AI solutions.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices across the team.
• Produce comprehensive documentation covering AI architectures, data sources, model design, API specifications, and deployment processes.
• Champion responsible AI principles, ensuring adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with the rapidly evolving landscape of AI technologies, LLM frameworks, and industry best practices, bringing relevant innovations to the team.
  
  

QualificationsandRequirementsforassistanceandsupporttoDeloitteTax : Education

• Full-time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence with a minimum of 60% or equivalent CGPA.
  
  

Experience

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong focus on LLM applications and enterprise AI integration.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Demonstrated experience building and deploying LLM-based applications , including prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex .
• Proficiency in Python as a primary development language, with strong software engineering practices including modular design, testing, and version control (Git).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms — Azure, AWS, and/or GCP — including managed AI/ML services (e.g., Azure OpenAI Service, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI).
• Solid understanding of machine learning theory and techniques , including NLP, supervised and unsupervised learning, and model evaluation methodologies.
• Strong command of database technologies , including relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB).
• Experience with MLOps tooling and practices , including experiment tracking (MLflow, Weights & Biases), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with REST API design and development for integrating AI models into enterprise applications and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams at all levels.
• Proactive in seeking clarification, raising risks early, and continuously improving processes and solutions.
