Work you’ll do

The Google Cloud Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure for the company's data-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data engineering principles and experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

• Design and implement data pipelines using GCP services such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Ingest data from various sources, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and log files.
• Transform and cleanse data to prepare it for analysis.
• Create and maintain data lakes and data warehouses.
• Develop and implement data curation processes to ensure data quality.
• Prepare data for analytics and machine learning.
• Develop and implement semantics layers to provide a consistent view of data.
• Use database as code tools to manage and provision databases.
• Experience in developing in graph database.
• Work with the GCP suite of products to manage and govern data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a data engineer or in a related role.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
• Strong in Vertex AI, Vertex GenAI, Python, SQL/DBMS, and GCP Cloud is a must.
• Experience working with GCP services.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data transformation and cleansing tools.
• Experience with data warehousing and data lake technologies.
• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools.
• Experience with database as code tools.
• Experience in developing in graph database.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
