Lead Data Scientist

About the Role:

We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure to drive end-to-end data science initiatives. This role will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI models for real-world business problems
• Design and implement scalable data science solutions using Azure cloud services
• Collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Build, optimize, and maintain ML pipelines and model lifecycle management (MLOps)
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts
• Ensure best practices in model performance, monitoring, and governance
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and cloud technologies

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages
• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse
• Experience in building and deploying ML models at scale
• Solid understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, NLP, or computer vision
• Experience with MLOps frameworks and tools
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have:

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or Agentic AI systems
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Scientist Associate)
• Experience working in agile environments
