JOB SUMMARY:
The
Devo Forward Engineering team is at the cutting edge of how enterprises interact with security and operational data. Our mission is to transform logs into dynamic,
autonomous ecosystems. We don't just ingest data, we build the intelligence that acts upon it. As a member of Forward Engineering, you will be responsible for
building AI agents and advanced workflows that automate complex security reasoning and data operations. You will leverage our
proprietary GUI-based orchestration platform, extending its core capabilities by writing custom logic in
Python and Lua and developing
Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Your work will directly enable LLMs to "see," "reason," and "act" across the entire Devo data fabric, creating the next generation of autonomous SOC (Security Operations Center) tools.
Responsibilities
- Agentic Orchestration: Architect and deploy end-to-end AI agents and sophisticated data workflows using Devo’s Forward Engineering GUI-based toolset.
- Custom Logic & MCPs: Write high-performance Python and Lua scripts to handle complex logic and build Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that connect LLMs to internal and external data sources.
- Bridge the Gap: Translate high-level agentic requirements into functional, visual workflows while maintaining the underlying code-based "tools" the agents require.
- Innovation & Research: Stay at the forefront of the Agentic AI wave (MCP, Tool-use, RAG) to ensure Devo’s Forward Engineering tools remain industry-leading.
- Collaborative Design: Work closely with the Platform teams to ensure the agents you build have the highest fidelity data access possible.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Coding Mastery: 1.5+ years of experience in Python. Proven ability (or rapid aptitude) to develop for embedded workflow logic.
- AI Architecture: Solid understanding of AI Agents, specifically how to build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar function-calling frameworks.
- Systems Thinking: Experience building complex, non-linear logic within GUI-based workflow tools (e.g., Node-RED, Make, or custom BPMN tools).
- Modern Infrastructure: 1+ years of experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD. Familiarity with JSON-RPC and asynchronous programming.
- Mindset: A "Forward Engineering" spirit—proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and obsessed with building things that didn't exist yesterday.
