Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive SAP Process and Data Analyst to support business operations for our Engineering, Construction and Maintenance (ECM) business through process governance and data integrity, managing systematic data input into our enterprise SAP system and support the operational reporting and business KPI monitoring to ensure compliance with internal standards. This role is crucial in ensuring that data entered into SAP is timely, accurate, and aligned with business operational workflows and SAP standards, generating good quality data insights for decision-making.

Note: This is a functional role focusing on data and process management, not system configuration or technical SAP development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process and Data Governance

Work closely with cross-functional business teams such as Project Manager, Project Engineer, Contract, Procurement, and Finance teams to streamline the data input into SAP.
Monitor data governance standards and ensure data captured is in accordance with standardised operating procedures based on process workflows in SAP.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across modules (e.g., MM, PS, FI).
Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing current workflows and identifying inefficiencies.

2. SAP Data Management

Perform timely and accurate data entry and maintenance in SAP (master data, transactional data, etc.) for areas such as:
Project WBS, cost and budget structures (e.g., WBS, networks)
Material master, BOMs and Service master
Vendor and subcontractor records
Project contracting and procurement (e.g., Purchase requisition)
Inventory management (e.g., Goods receipt, issuance)
Service confirmation (e.g., Service entry)
Ensure data quality through regular validation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities.
Troubleshoot data-related issues and coordinate resolution with functional teams.
Support data migration and onboarding processes for new projects or business units.

3. Reporting & Business KPI Monitoring

Generate operational and project reports from SAP to support business decisions and track performance metrics.
Monitor and report on KPIs related to ensure alignment with operational goals e.g. procurement, material tracking, project execution, cost control, asset management, and others as required.
Provide data analysis support to internal stakeholders to facilitate strategic decisions.
Identify and escalate data discrepancies affecting reporting accuracy.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

Act as the liaison between business users and SAP functional teams for data and process-related issues.
Provide guidance and training to end-users on SAP data entry standards and reporting tools.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data handling and reporting efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related discipline.
Familiarity with oil & gas or construction project environments is highly preferred. Relevant experience in supporting project-based operations (EPCC, upstream/downstream, etc.).
Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply the entry level roles. Minimum 3 years of experience in process and data management roles within an SAP environment for senior roles.
Good foundation and working knowledge of SAP modules such as PS, MM, or FI/CO from a user or data steward perspective.
High attention to detail, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficient in SAP transactional work (data input, monitoring, and basic reporting).
Skilled in Excel; familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
