Job Title: Software Engineer VIII – Tech Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Developer / Tech Lead to enhance and extend BSS (Business Support Systems) capabilities for a large telecom enterprise. The role focuses on enabling seamless integration across CPQ and connected systems to deliver unified, automated, and standards-based service management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a CPQ consolidation strategy to unify multiple platforms
• Design and implement integrations aligned with TM Forum Open API standards
• Develop scalable solutions to handle large quote volumes and high performance requirements
• Enable seamless system integrations (North-South, East-West)
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards
• Lead development of Java-based microservices architecture
• Drive UI development strategy and best practices
• Build and maintain reusable frameworks and components
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Architects to translate requirements into solutions
• Develop and expose APIs for frontend and external integrations
• Ensure high-quality, well-documented code
• Leverage AI tools for development efficiency

Technical Skills Required

• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot (Microservices Architecture)
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB (or similar databases)
• Expertise in system integration, API development, and distributed systems
• Experience with TM Forum Open APIs (preferred)
• Strong understanding of BSS/CPQ systems (preferred)
• Knowledge of network/system integration (e.g., SDM)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in performance optimization and scalable system design

Professional Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development and system integration
• Strong expertise in multiple programming languages and development tools
• Experience in end-to-end software development lifecycle
• Ability to define system performance parameters and configurations
• Strong problem-solving skills and bug analysis capability
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise projects
