Role: QA Engineer (Automation70% + Manual 30%)

Experience: 5 to 7 Years

Job Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

Understand business requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases
Perform manual testing for web-based applications
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium and TestNG / BDD frameworks
Execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects clearly and effectively
Perform basic API testing using tools like Postman or similar
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure timely test execution and quality sign-off for releases

Must-Have Skills

5–7 years of experience in Manual Testing
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium automation
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber or similar)
Good understanding of testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC
Experience in basic API testing
Strong analytical and communication skills

Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to CI/CD tools
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing
Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA
