💼 Position Title: Security Engineer

This role supports the Cyber Security team in designing, implementing, and enhancing security technologies across the organization. You will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to uplift cyber controls, reduce cyber risk, and continuously improve security posture.

A portion of the role (approx. 20%) will involve security operations such as monitoring alerts, assisting investigations, and supporting incident response activities.

🔒 Lead implementation, configuration, and enhancement of security technologies across IT and OT environments
🛡️ Implement and support security controls including Network Access Control (NAC), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), IDS/IPS, NDR, and micro-segmentation
📈 Manage threat and vulnerability programs, including remediation of security risks and misconfigurations
☁️ Configure and enforce Conditional Access policies and Microsoft security solutions (Defender, E5 stack, Intune)
🧩 Support ransomware resilience strategies including backup security solutions
📊 Monitor SIEM, EDR, and security platforms to detect and respond to threats
📝 Develop SOPs, playbooks, and technical documentation for security processes
🤝 Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and application teams to embed security into projects
🚨 Assist in incident response, investigations, and major security incidents when required
🔍 Translate security architecture and policies into practical technical solutions
📚 Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and best practices

✔️ Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering
✔️ Strong knowledge of Microsoft security stack (Defender, Intune, E5, etc.)
✔️ Experience with SIEM implementation and monitoring
✔️ Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, and other security frameworks
✔️ Experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, micro-segmentation)
✔️ Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat tactics
✔️ Experience with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions
✔️ Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigating controls
✔️ Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

⭐ Illumio or similar micro-segmentation tools
⭐ IBoss SASE
⭐ Microsoft certifications (SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500)
⭐ Working knowledge of CIS benchmarks and compliance standards
⭐ Exposure to OT (Operational Technology) security environments
⭐ Experience in ransomware prevention and backup protection strategies

🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, IT, MIS, or related field
📜 Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc.) are a plus
