About The Team

We're looking for a Data Scientist who can turn messy, complex facility data into models and systems that change how buildings are managed. You'll work across the full AI lifecycle, from feasibility studies and architecture design through to production deployment, in a domain where your work has direct, measurable impact on sustainability and efficiency.

This isn't a pure research role. You'll ship solutions across hybrid environments (on-prem, Azure, AWS), collaborate daily with product teams, developers, and architects, and help shape EG's AI roadmap for the business unit. You'll also be a multiplier: mentoring junior data scientists, running hands-on workshops, and helping product teams adopt and maintain the AI capabilities you build.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI solutions - traditional ML, GenAI, and agentic architectures, deployed across Azure, AWS, and on-prem infrastructure.
• Develop end-to-end pipelines from data ingestion through model training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Work closely with product teams to translate business problems into concrete AI/ML solutions, and with developers and engineers to operationalize them.
• Drive the AI roadmap - conduct feasibility studies, evaluate emerging technologies, and define where AI creates the most value.
• Raise the bar across the organization - evangelize best practices, run trainings, mentor team members, and ensure responsible AI governance.
  
  

Required Skills

• 3+ years in AI/ML, with meaningful experience in GenAI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration (MCP, A2A). A degree in CS or a related field is expected, an advanced degree is a plus, but hands-on experience matters most.
• Strong Python skills and real-world experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) and NLP.
• Cloud-native fluency - you've built and deployed scalable applications on Azure and/or AWS using PaaS/IaaS services.
• Full-stack awareness - enough comfort with Angular, React, Node.js, or Streamlit (plus SQL/NoSQL) to build and prototype end-to-end.
• Working knowledge of the modern toolchain - CI/CD, GitHub Actions, DevSecOps, SonarQube, and Agile ways of working.
• Clear communication - you can explain a model's value to a product owner and its architecture to an engineer, with equal confidence.
