Senior / Cybersecurity Engineer, IoT

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our testing laboratory supporting security evaluations of IoT and connected systems.

This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, analysing complex systems, and performing security assessments across IoT, embedded, and connected platforms.

Candidates do not need prior IoT experience — we are looking for strong cybersecurity engineers who can quickly learn and adapt to new domains.

We welcome candidates with experience in any of the following domains:

• Embedded systems / IoT security
• Cloud / infrastructure security
• Application / API security
• Platform or OS security (e.g., Linux, hypervisors)
• Security research / vulnerability analysis

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform security assessments, including:
• Penetration testing
• Vulnerability analysis
• Attack surface identification
• Analyse systems across different layers:
• Embedded devices / IoT products
• Firmware and binaries
• Networked and cloud-connected components
• Conduct reverse engineering and protocol analysis where required
• Produce clear, structured, audit-ready reports for clients and certification bodies
• Research emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, and attack techniques
• Contribute to:
• Test method development
• Lab capability building
• Knowledge sharing within the team

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in cybersecurity
• Ability to understand complex systems and identify attack vectors
• Experience in one or more:

-Reverse engineering

-Vulnerability research

-Penetration testing

-Security architecture or system analysis

-Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work across domains

-Strong technical communication and report writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in cybersecurity testing, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, or security research
• Demonstrated ability to:
• Analyse systems and identify security weaknesses independently
• Perform structured security assessments with minimal supervision
• For more experienced candidates:
• Strong background in reverse engineering, exploit analysis, or system security
• Ability to define testing approaches and lead security assessments
• Experience engaging with clients or stakeholders
• Experience contributing to Security research, tooling, or methodology development
