System Analyst | ID Management (Security Operations & Threat Defense)

JOB SUMMARY

This role supports the enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) capability, covering Identity Management (IDM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM / PID). The Analyst will ensure secure, compliant, and efficient lifecycle management of user and privileged identities across EPF systems, while supporting automation, integrations, and governance controls aligned with organizational security policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identity Management (IDM) Operations

• Support day-to-day operations of the IDM platform to ensure availability, accuracy, and security of digital identities.
• Execute user lifecycle activities including joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes across internal users, vendors, and service accounts.
• Assist in provisioning and deprovisioning access based on approved workflows and role models.
• Provide Level 1–2 support for IDM-related access issues and escalate complex cases appropriately.

2. Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)

• Support IGA processes such as access request workflows, approval routing, and entitlement management.
• Assist in periodic access reviews, recertification campaigns, and remediation activities to meet audit and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and update role definitions, access profiles, and segregation of duties (SoD) rules under guidance.
• Support reporting and evidence preparation for internal audit, external audit, and regulatory reviews.

3. Privileged Access Management (PAM / PID)

• Support operational activities for Privileged ID (PID) and password vault management.
• Assist in onboarding privileged accounts, service accounts, and application accounts into PAM platforms.
• Support password rotation, session control, and privileged access monitoring.
• Perform troubleshooting for PAM-related issues and support integration with target systems.

4. Automation & Integration

• Assist in automation of IAM processes using scripting and built-in platform capabilities.
• Support integration of new applications and systems with IDM, IGA, and PAM platforms.
• Conduct functional testing for integrations and access workflows before production rollout.
• Maintain technical documentation related to integrations, workflows, and configurations.

5. Platform Configuration & Continuous Improvement

• Support configuration of business rules, access policies, and workflows within IAM platforms.
• Assist in system upgrades, patching, and vendor-led enhancements.
• Participate in improvement initiatives to enhance access security, user experience, and operational efficiency.

6. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Work with internal IT teams, application owners, and business units on access-related requirements.
• Support coordination with IAM vendors for technical support, issue resolution, and enhancements.
• Provide advisory support on IAM best practices under supervision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Malaysian Citizen
• Pass Malay Language, including the oral test, at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 4 - 7 years of IT Security Operations in the Identity and Access Management area.
• Professional certifications are an advantage, such as:
• CompTIA Security+ / ISACA-related certifications
• Microsoft Certified (AZ-900, AZ-104) or equivalent cloud fundamentals
• IAM / PAM / IGA vendor-related training
• Technical Skills & Knowledge
• Fundamental understanding of IAM concepts: IDM, IGA, PAM.
• Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and enterprise authentication concepts.
• Basic knowledge of access provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), and least privilege principles.
• Experience or interest in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with audit, compliance, and access review processes is an advantage.
