Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist to build intelligent systems on top of IoT data powering next-generation aquaculture operations. You will convert raw data into predictive, prescriptive, and decision-support systems deployed in production environments. You will own problem framing, experimentation, deployment, and impact measurement

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support continuous data needs.
  • Ensure datasets used for analysis remain clean, consistent, and ready for modeling, working closely with cross‑functional teams where needed.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and scalability across systems, including handling missing/noisy telemetry data and device-level inconsistencies.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on historical IoT/time-series datasets (feeders, hydrophones, gateways).
  • Apply statistical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Design and analyze experiments (A/B testing where feasible, and practical field-ready experimentation under operational constraints).
  • Use regression models, time-series forecasting, and anomaly/event detection techniques where applicable.
  • Define and track key product metrics.
  • Build reporting frameworks for stakeholders.
  • Partner with product managers to identify growth and optimization opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for feature improvements and prioritization.

Required Skills

  • Strong SQL skills (experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouses).
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.).
  • Experience with statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and time-series analysis (forecasting/anomaly detection).
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of product analytics and metrics frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing platforms.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, model deployment and monitoring.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering roles.
