Job Description

• Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and AWS.
• Build and maintain cloud-native microservices and API-driven platforms (REST/GraphQL).
• Contribute to end-to-end solution design across backend services and frontend integrations.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, scalability, and observability in production.
• Collaborate with Product, Business, and cross-functional teams on solution design and delivery.
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
• Work with frontend teams to define API contracts and integration patterns.
• Ensure stable production operations with focus on uptime, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of software development experience with strong Java backend expertise.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and API development.
• Experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS or similar services).
• Good understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (Kafka/SQS).
• Strong knowledge of data design and databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and version control (Jenkins, Git, Docker).
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, TDD, Cucumber, performance testing tools).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Datadog, etc.).
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and architecture discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Basic understanding of modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular).
• Ability to collaborate with frontend teams and understand UI/API integration.
• Familiarity with SPA concepts and API-driven UI integrations.
