Role Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer who is passionate about building and executing automation solutions. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering high-quality automated test coverage and supporting continuous delivery. This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Test Automation Engineer, located in the Greater Bengaluru Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Convert functional requirements into automated test cases
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results
• Contribute to test planning, test case design, and defect tracking
• Ensure automation coverage for sprint deliverables and backlog items
• Work closely with developers to identify defects and improve quality
• Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and execution of automated tests
• Maintain test stability by reducing flaky tests and improving reliability
• Willingness to work overlapping hours with global teams to support collaboration and client engagement

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in Test Automation/Quality Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Playwright
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and modern coding approaches (including vibe coding) to accelerate test automation, improve coverage, and reduce maintenance overhead
• Experience in UI and API test automation
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
