Senior Software Developer – Android

What does a successful Senior Software Developer - Android do at Fiserv?

You will be responsible for the delivery of mobile banking solutions to our clients. Delivery includes pre-sales support, gap analysis, project management, branding, development of enhancements and extension, localisation, integration, quality assurance, and deployment.

As a Software Developer, you will be expected to contribute to all aspects of project delivery with specific focus on the development of enhancements and extension to our products.

You will be required to respond to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need.

What You'll Do

• Support the development of high-quality mobile software within a scrum team
• Contribute to improving code quality through maintaining and enhancing high quality software development standards
• Support technical design decisions through validation of technical approaches and prototyping of new concepts
• Support team members to ensure successful sprint outcomes
• Encourage and mentor junior team members to support them in their development
• Raising technical, security, delivery and performance risks
• Be part of and help promote our DevOps culture
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to the development practice.
  
  

What You'll Need To Have

• A passion for delivering market leading software products; keeping up to date on the latest technologies and industry trends
• Minimum 5-year hands-on software development experience writing Android downloadable mobile applications.
• Deep knowledge of Android development and design best practices including Android Design Standards.
• A willingness to expand your technical horizons
• Keenness to work in an agile scrum environment
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Experience working on a large-scale product as part of a large and complex enterprise, with both new technologies and building on top of legacy systems.
  
  

Nice To Have

• Working knowledge of React-Native technologies.
• Financial/banking sector experience is an advantage.
• Experience using AI tools and AI-driven practices to enhance engineering productivity.
