Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer – III to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java-based enterprise application development, backend engineering, and Linux-based web environments.

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong debugging capabilities, and the ability to work in a global, Agile development environment while delivering high-quality and scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise-grade software applications.
• Build backend services and components using Java EE and PHP technologies.
• Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
  
  

System Integration

• Develop and integrate APIs with internal and third-party systems.
• Work with RDBMS databases, ensuring optimized database design and queries.
• Manage and configure web servers and application servers.
  
  

Platform & Infrastructure Support

• Work with Linux-based environments for deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Configure and maintain Apache and Tomcat web servers.
• Support load balancing, security configurations, and server optimizations.
  
  

DevOps & Version Control

• Maintain source code repositories using Git or SVN.
• Support continuous development and integration workflows.
  
  

Agile Collaboration

• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
  
  

Production Support

• Provide technical troubleshooting and debugging for complex issues.
• Deliver proactive customer-oriented technical support.
  
  

Required Technical Skills Programming & Backend Development

• Strong experience with Java EE
• Strong experience with PHP
  
  

Databases

• Experience working with Relational Databases (RDBMS)
• Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred
  
  

Operating Systems

• Strong experience working in Linux environments
  
  

Web Servers & Application Servers

• Experience managing and configuring
• Apache HTTP Server
• Apache Tomcat
  

Version Control

• Experience with:
• Git
• Apache Subversion
  

Additional Technologies

• API integration and consumption
• Debugging and performance optimization
• Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  
  

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an advantage:

• Knowledge of Node.js
• Experience with React
