About the Team:

The AI Solutions Team: We are a high-velocity engineering unit with a dual mandate: to accelerate meaningful AI adoption across internal business functions and to architect the horizontal AI services that power our customer experiences.

About the role:

This is not a traditional software engineering role. We are looking for product-minded engineers native to AI—builders who obsess over user impact and can seamlessly bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities and real-world execution. When needed, we operate with Forward Deployed Engineering philosophy, not shying away from embedding directly with critical business functions, while simultaneously building the central AI capabilities that the rest of the company will run on.

You are responsible for:

Build high-priority, end-to-end AI products from the ground up
Leverage a hybrid #DataScience and #Backend Engineering skill set to #architect, #optimize, and scale state-of-the-art models, ranging from Flipkart LLMs to #opensource and commercial solutions
Orchestrate complex systems rather than just writing code
Manage the full SDLC, including database design, #APIdevelopment, UI integration, and deployment
Build Production grade applications using #LLM's, Implement #RAG, Agentic workflows and tool use pattern
Work in an environment that actively encourages the use of #Alagents and tools to enhance your coding and design process ⚡️
Define the technical roadmap for the AI Transformation Org.
Identify high-impact automation opportunities across Flipkart
Solve the hardest engineering challenges: specific hardware specific optimizations, massive scale inference, and security/governance of AI agents.
Influence the build-vs-buy decisions for AI tooling across Flipkart.

You should have:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years exp. Industry leader in Applied AI. Demonstrated success in transforming business processes via technology.
Strong communication and analytical skills
