About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer who can take ownership of our backend data systems from data modelling to pipeline building and AWS infrastructure management.

This role requires someone who can build and maintain scalable data systems while ensuring data reliability and performance.

Job Description:

Design and maintain data models (OLTP/OLAP) and build data marts for analytics
Write optimized SQL queries and handle large datasets efficiently
Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Python
Use Airflow (or similar tools) for workflow orchestration and scheduling
Ensure data quality, validation, and monitoring
Work with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Fargate, Step function)
Handle server setup, performance tuning, and scalability
Collaborate with frontend/BI teams for data requirements
Independently manage end-to-end data engineering workflows

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in SQL (joins, CTEs, indexing, optimization)
Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering
Solid understanding of data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)
Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
Working knowledge of AWS ecosystem and cloud-based data systems
Experience with databases like PostgreSQL / MySQL (RDS)
