Backend Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Intern who is passionate about building scalable systems and solving complex technical problems. As part of our engineering team, you’ll get hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, databases, and core backend services that power our product. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to real-world projects in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of backend systems, APIs, and services
• Work with databases to store, manage, and optimise data efficiently
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to build robust features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in debugging, testing, and improving system performance
• Stay updated with the latest backend technologies and best practices

Requirements

• Are available for an in-office internship for 6 months
• Strong understanding of at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, or Go)
• Knowledge of databases
• Familiarity with REST APIs and basic networking concepts
• Problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies

The FRND team operates six days a week, with every 1st and 3rd Saturday working
