System Engineer

JOB TITLE: System Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage all installed systems, servers, and applications across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Set up and maintain servers, virtual machines (VMs), storage systems, and Linux environments.
• Perform user support tasks including onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Backup and restore servers, VMs, and email systems regularly.
• Set up and provide IT support for events and roadshows, including after-office hours if required.
• Maintain, review, and enhance network and cybersecurity policies (e.g., firewall, proxy, MAC whitelisting).
• Set up and maintain CCTV systems.
• Troubleshoot and manage IT incidents, including problem management and resolution.
• Review and assess IT-related risks, especially for network infrastructure and user access.
• Provide timely IT support to ensure smooth business operations and continuity.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in IT-related field. Candidates with ITE certification and relevant experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting systems including Windows Servers, firewalls, network switches, backup systems, and databases.
• Experience in setting up and administering Cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure), Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and NAVISION is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Exchange, Office365, Hyper-V), and WAN/LAN/WLAN solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and general network infrastructure is advantageous.
• Certifications such as MCSE and/or CCNA, and experience with Hyper-V/VM deployment are preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; independent and able to handle multiple tasks effectively.
