Job Description

This role is backend-led and architecture-heavy. You will help design and implement the foundational systems that support multi-city, multi-country operations. This is not a feature-delivery role. It is a systems-building role.

Responsibilities

Design scalable, secure backend systems using microservices or event-driven patterns.
Translate architectural direction into production-grade implementation.
Make practical trade-offs between speed and long-term scalability.
Build high-performance APIs using Node.js or Golang.
Handle concurrency, race conditions, and fault tolerance patterns.
Implement caching and indexing strategies for performance.
Manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
Lead Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) orchestration.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Implement security best practices and OWASP standards.
Design and optimise SQL and NoSQL schemas.
Ensure high throughput and data integrity.
Maintain sub-second API performance where required.
Conduct code reviews and design discussions.
Bring structure and engineering discipline.
Mentor junior engineers.
