Senior Product Manager, Block Storage

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
• Experience developing or launching products or technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, SaaS, enterprise, internal tools, or supply chain networks.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in data storage, compute, data protection, and cloud architecture product management.
• Experience working in a cross-functional organization, and influencing executive stakeholders.
• Experience in product management, and excellent business acumen, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, along with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate and influence decisions cross-functionally and at all levels of an organization and take initiatives.
• Excellent narrative and storytelling skills that propel usage, adoption and market momentum.

In this role, you will be responsible for the product definition and success for backup products within the block storage portfolio, ensuring that GCE customers, critical Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, and GCP partners are positioned for success with data protection and business continuity. As GCE Block Storage continues to grow, there is a consistent need to deliver outstanding next-generation capabilities and efficiency. You will have experience with compute and storage cloud infrastructure, and experience working with enterprise and cloud-native customers to drive success. Additionally you will be creative and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the block storage snapshots business, driving collaboration and success across all GCP functions - executive leadership, engineering, marketing, sales, legal, finance, documentation, and support - to deliver outstanding products for block storage data protection and business continuity.
• Define road maps, detailed requirements collaboration with engineering, pricing for new products, portfolio strategy, and ensure customer success.
• Be a critical leader within the team, ensuring that Google remains the most trusted cloud platform.
