Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure systems.
- Experience with Generative AI Agent.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience programming in C, C++, Java or Python.
- Experience working with customers and partner teams to gather requirements and understand usage patterns and pain points.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.

Google Cloud Storage EngProd is part of Storage EngProd, whose mission is to take the end-to-end engineering velocity of Google’s distributed data storage systems and make it fast, safe and predictable. GCS stores the vast majority of Google’s bytes and is a key system backing both Google Cloud and internal systems (YouTube, Photos, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).
In this role, you will work directly with the Partner teams, understand their needs and mak their releases faster. You will do this by creating services and tools to automate painful workflows, and designing dashboards to put information at developers’ fingertips. Expect to wear many hats, and to learn new parts of the Google toolkit!

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Create systems, tools, AI agents, and automation to make releases easier, more consistent, and safer.
- Build AI systems and tools to automate toil and accelerate engineers.
- Manage, simplify, and decouple releases of legacy monoliths into microservices.
- Design and implement frameworks to ensure quality of planet-scale, complex storage systems.
