Get to Know the Team

At GrabFin, we empower the people of Southeast Asia, from consumers and drivers to every-day entrepreneurs, by ensuring financial inclusion for the underserved. The team is building solutions by enabling our partners (i.e. drivers and merchants) to get access to financial services (lending and insurance) products for their everyday needs.

Get to Know the Role

Join us as an Automation-Focused Software Engineer and become a guardian of stability for our massive-scale Insurance platform. You will leverage world-class infrastructure to build highly reliable and resilient systems across diverse domains and microservices. We are seeking engineers who are passionate about automation, thrive on continuous learning and improvement, demonstrate strong autonomy, and are ready to own complex challenges. Reporting to the manager, you will be based in our Jakarta Office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

You will design and develop automated tests to ensure stability and correctness of our system
Monitor and create standards for mitigating incidents
You will Champion quality within the team, driving proper test coverage and processes to ensure high reliability.
You will collaborate and involved with diverse teams to design and ship new products
You will participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
You will participate in On-Call rotations to ensure the reliability of services

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

2 Years of relevant experience in software development
Proficiency in building automated tests especially around Golang/java backend services
Knowledge of Quality Assurance and testing phase in software development
Proficiency in at least one of the backend programming languages, e.g. JavaScript (Node), relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle and code versioning systems like Git
Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures, and capability to recognize when to use them
Proficiency to converse in English both verbal and written
