Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer - Contract

Role Details:

Position: SFCC Developer

Type: Contract (6 months, with possible extension)

Work Mode: Work from Office

Location: Guindy, Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Headless architecture)
• Implement and support headless commerce solutions using APIs (OCAPI, SCAPI)
• Develop and maintain integrations with OMS, ERP, payment gateways, and third-party systems
• Build and enhance REST-based services and middleware integrations
• Lead backend development for order lifecycle, promotions, catalog, pricing, and checkout flows
• Implement custom cartridges, controllers, hooks, and job frameworks
• Optimize performance across storefront and API layers
• Collaborate with frontend teams for headless storefront integrations
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide RCA
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Architects, Integration)

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud
• Strong understanding of SFCC architecture, Business Manager, and order lifecycle
• Proven experience in headless commerce implementations
• Hands-on experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, and custom APIs
• Strong experience integrating third-party systems (OMS, ERP, payment gateways, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), ISML, controllers, and cartridge architecture
• Experience with REST APIs and middleware integrations
• Strong understanding of checkout customization and promotions engine
• Experience with CI/CD and Git
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
