Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Dynamics 365 Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Solutions Architecture team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between client requirements and technical delivery. You will lead the functional design of complex proposals, craft tailored solution architectures, and act as the primary functional authority during the pre-sales lifecycle.
The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise across the D365 ecosystem and a proven track record of winning large-scale enterprise bids through innovative solutioning.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Engineering: Lead the functional workstream for RFPs/RFIs, creating comprehensive solution blueprints, effort estimations, and high-level project roadmaps.
Solution Design: Translate complex business requirements into scalable D365 solutions, ensuring alignment with Microsoft?s best practices and "Out of the Box" functionality.
Client Engagement: Lead discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders to uncover pain points and define the future-state business process.
Demos & PoCs: Build and deliver high-impact, value-based demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) that showcase the strategic value of D365.
Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Architects and Sales Leads to ensure functional designs are technically feasible and commercially viable.
Market Insight: Stay at the forefront of the Microsoft roadmap, including AI/Copilot integrations, Power Platform enhancements, and industry-specific accelerators.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Domain Expertise: Minimum 12+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, with deep functional knowledge in at least two core modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Service, or Field Service).
Pre-Sales Experience: Proven experience in a pre-sales or solutioning role, specifically managing the end-to-end proposal process for enterprise clients.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to map business value to technology features and articulate a clear ROI for the customer.
Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to explain complex functional concepts to both C-level executives and technical teams.
Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and how it extends D365 capabilities.
Certifications: Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-300, MB-310, MB-330, or PL-200) are highly preferred.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with Generative AI and Copilot features within the Dynamics ecosystem.
Familiarity with industry-specific solutions (Retail, Manufacturing, or Professional Services).
A background in managing transitions from legacy ERP/CRM systems to D365.
