Role : Tech Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead with strong backend expertise in PHP and Go (Golang) to lead the development and scaling of critical healthcare technology systems. The ideal candidate will have 8- 10 years of experience in backend engineering, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure, along with with the ability to mentor engineering teams, mobile application teams and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of healthcare platforms and complex logistics-driven technology platforms.

This role requires strong expertise in cloud-based architectures, high-scale backend systems, and emerging technologies such as Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership :

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of backend systems using PHP and Go (Golang).
• Architect scalable APIs and microservices supporting web and mobile applications.
• Drive system architecture decisions for high-availability and high-performance healthcare systems.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, system performance, scalability, and security.
  
  

Engineering & Development

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform integrations.
• Design systems capable of handling high transaction volumes and large-scale data processing.
• Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL systems.
• Implement caching strategies using Redis or similar technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Work closely with mobile application teams (Android/iOS) to design and maintain robust backend APIs.
• Ensure backend systems support high-performance mobile user experiences.
• Define API standards, versioning strategies, and mobile-friendly architectures.
  
  

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor backend engineers and collaborate with mobile developers.
• Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Work closely with product, DevOps, data, and mobile engineering teams.
• Drive engineering best practices, documentation, and development standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8- 10 years of backend development experience
• Strong expertise in :
• PHP (Laravel / Symfony preferred)
• Go (Golang)
• Experience designing scalable APIs and microservices
• Experience managing or collaborating closely with mobile application teams
• Experience building logistics-driven technology systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of system architecture and distributed systems
• Experience with SQL databases and caching systems
• Exposure to Generative AI technologies or AI-powered platforms
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  
  

Good To Have

• Experience working in diagnostics, healthcare, or health-tech platforms
• Experience building lab technology or diagnostics management systems
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards or compliance requirements
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, queues, messaging systems)
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker / Kubernetes
