We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Tech SME

In This Role, You Will

• Lead data engineering and cloud architecture across the fraud domain, providing technical direction, mentoring, escalation support, and (where applicable) resource allocation.
• Own end-to-end solution design: translate business needs into strategically aligned architectures and data products that meet governance and standards.
• Build and optimise batch and streaming pipelines on GCP; guide implementation of core business logic and reusable engineering patterns.
• Drive performance, reliability, and cost optimisation across GCP services; establish monitoring and operational best practices.
• Partner with external suppliers to define integration approaches and architecture patterns.
• Stay current on cloud, data, and AI trends, sharing insights with peers and senior stakeholders.
  
  

To Be Successful, You Will

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Strong hands-on knowledge of services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery and broader big data capabilities.
• Solid understanding of GCP networking: VPC design, subnets, firewalling, and hybrid connectivity (VPN/Interconnect).
  
  

Data engineering & analytics

• Strong experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer.
  
  

Security & compliance

• Strong understanding of IAM, encryption, key management (Cloud KMS) and security best practices on GCP.
• Experience implementing compliance-aligned controls (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) in cloud environments.
  
  

Operational excellence

• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting using Cloud Monitoring and Logging (formerly Stackdriver).
  
  

AI Exposure And “AI Know-how” (preferred)

• Exposure to applying AI/ML techniques to fraud and risk analytics use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, classification, entity resolution, network-based insights).
• Understanding of AI-enabled data engineering practices: feature-ready datasets, training/serving data consistency, and pipeline automation
