What The Role Is

The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore.

We are looking for candidates to fulfill a role in Cloud Programme, which is charged with a mission to transform the way HTX delivers software by leveraging on cloud innovation to enable agile software development, zero-trust security, continuous devsecops and artificial intelligence. We are looking for Cloud Adoption Engineer to accelerate the adoption of cloud technology.

What You Will Be Working On

The principal accountabilities of the job holder are to:

• Drive the successful adoption and on-boarding, understand the value and capability of cloud.
• As part of driving adoption, do active engagement with different levels of stakeholders to garner interest, educate, plan and assist in their cloud journey.
• Design and develop Cloud training and enablement programs
• Work with tenants to design Cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches and application optimisations that enable mission objectives. Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for projects.
• He/She is expected to design application infrastructure services that are Cloud optimised, elastic, scalable, secure and resilient.
• He/She is expected to oversee the lifecycle management of the technologies and services in support of the applications.
• As part of project management, work with relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and vendors to deliver the system(s) and/or projects, ensuring that budget, specifications and any other requirements are being adhered to.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

Candidates should possess:

• Experience in managing a full system implementation lifecycle
• Experience with building and deploying applications as containers using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, NodeJS, distributed computing and backend frameworks.
• Able to implement container security and cloud security and familiar with ethical hacking.
• Experience with source code management tools, IaC (Infrastructure-As-Code), test automation, static/dynamic code analysis and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with Cloud products and experienced in designing Cloud solutions.
• Minimally achieved Level 2 Cloud Competency Certifications with preferably at least 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience in Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.

  All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
