Senior AI Platform Engineer (Data Infrastructure & Security)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of AI-driven solutions to support AI storage, data security, and AI computing platforms.
• Design and optimise scalable data and AI platforms, including distributed storage systems, secure data environments, and high-performance computing infrastructure.
• Develop and enhance machine learning models and analytical methodologies to support business use cases.
• Establish and manage end-to-end data workflows, including data extraction, integration, transformation, and validation across multiple sources.
• Evaluate, validate, and optimise AI/ML model performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust AI and data solutions.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance across AI systems and data platforms.
• Optimise system performance across storage, compute, and model deployment layers.
• Gain insights into the development trends of AI, data infrastructure, and security technologies, and plan product evolution directions.
• To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Requirements:

• Master degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8–10 years of experience in IT, with relevant experience in AI, data platforms, or data storage.
• At least 2 years of experience in high-availability, mission-critical transaction systems. Experience in financial services environments is required due to the nature of the business.
• A deep understanding of the training process of AI foundation models and the collaboration architecture between GPU clusters and storage systems is required.
• Familiarity with distributed or high-performance storage systems (e.g. Ceph, Lustre, or similar solutions).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in team leadership in a technical environment is required, along with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in large-scale technology or platform-based environments is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
