Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Back-End Developer for Systems, you will design and develop offering solutions using the latest technologies. You will work on developing software, including open source software, and driving community best practices in IBM processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Develop Database Solutions: Plans, analyzes, designs, and constructs databases, implementing industry standards and best practices for database security. Analyzes and defines database and information security requirements.
Design Software: Designs, develops, tests, and delivers software, including open source software, working effectively with open source communities for Systems.
Write Queries: Develops structured query language (SQL) queries, back-end database stored procedures, or NoSQL queries.
Implement Object-Oriented Programming: Develops using object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and concurrency.
Deliver Open Source Software: Works effectively with open source communities for Systems, driving community best practices in IBM processes.

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Exposure to Object-Oriented Programming: Familiarity with developing using object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and concurrency.
Database Development Experience: Exposure to planning, analyzing, designing, and constructing databases, including implementing industry standards and best practices for database security.
Query Language Skills: Experience working with structured query language (SQL) queries, back-end database stored procedures, or NoSQL queries.
Software Development Knowledge: Exposure to designing, developing, testing, and delivering software, including open source software.
Open Source Community Involvement: Experience working effectively with open source communities for Systems, including driving community best practices in IBM processes.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Open Source Software Development: Exposure to designing, developing, and delivering open source software, including working effectively with open source communities for Systems.
Advanced Query Language Skills: Experience working with complex structured query language (SQL) queries, back-end database stored procedures, or NoSQL queries.
