Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Back-End Developer: Z.Security, you will work in an agile, collaborative environment to design, code, debug, test, and deliver creative solutions to client problems and requirements in various security-related areas for IBM Z. You will employ IBM's Design Thinking to create solutions that provide a great user experience along with world-class quality, resiliency, security, privacy, integrity, and stability. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Design and Develop Solutions: Design, code, debug, test, and deliver creative solutions to client problems and requirements in various security-related areas for IBM Z, leveraging industry standards and strategic technologies of the IBM z platform.
Leverage DevOps Methodology: Work in an agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements and deliver solutions, employing IBM's Design Thinking to create solutions that provide a great user experience.
Ensure Secure Code Development: Follow IBM Security and Privacy by Design requirements, including secure code development, security and privacy standards, industry and Z security recommended practices, threat modeling, and use of security-related tools.
Collaborate with Team: Work collaboratively to understand requirements, design, and deliver solutions that meet client needs and provide a great user experience.

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Upto 5 Years of working experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu/RHEL) in a production environment.
Strong background in Software development with in-depth knowledge of Python, Golang ,designing REST API and working knowledge of distributed services.
Strong development skills in Openstack and its components.
Knowledge on Core Linux Development skills
Expert level skill in Type1/Type2 hypervisors, OS Virtualization , Process and resource Management in Operating system, network segmentation.
Good to have, C/C++ programming skills
Strong skills in github, shell(ksh/bash), containers and orchestration, system monitoring, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline integration and end-to-end tests, playbooks and process automation.
Knowledge with deployment on OpenShift.
Understanding of container technologies like docker/podman
Orchestration tools - Kubernetes, openshift, Digital Certificate Knowledge
A Self-starter Individual with excellent problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as a part of the team.
Broad and proven know-how in database technology and practical experience in software development and agile methodology
Good Community management skills (working with open source contributors, client outreach and other public relations)
Strong Technical leadership skills (achieving excellence through code quality and practices, architecture decisions, innovation)
Strong English communication skills both written and verbal
