Role/ Job Title: Engineer - Network & Security

Function/ Department: Information Technology.

Job Purpose

The role entails the responsibility to Implement, manage and support IT infrastructure Micro Segmentation of the bank. It includes maintaining and supporting micro segmentation tool, interacting with internal cross functional team on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implemented Illumio micro‑segmentation tool.
• Possess basic technical understanding of infrastructure architecture and operations, including operating systems (Windows, Linux, AIX), networks, and security.
• Coordinate with internal resources and external vendors/third parties for flawless project execution and resolving events or incidents.
• Coordinate with various infrastructure stakeholders (server, virtualization, firewall, network, cloud, etc.) to ensure faster resolution and implementation of micro‑segmentation.
• Assist application and business teams with infrastructure-related requirements and provide feasible solutions in collaboration with the internal infra team.
• Report and escalate issues to management as required.
• Ensure IT infrastructure requests are handled per defined processes and maintain compliance.
• Foster an environment that encourages collaborative learning and shared ownership of responsibilities.
• Conduct complex technical evaluations, perform design reviews, and recommend physical and logical design proposals.
• Liaise with external vendors to efficiently resolve IT infrastructure issues.
• Stay updated with global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets.
• Provide guidance and training to project team members on IT infrastructure topics.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the team.
• Develop infrastructure-related scripts to automate manual tasks and streamline operational activities.
• Support the development of strategic plans for IT infrastructure and operational aspects of application execution within the infrastructure.
  
  

Education Qualification

Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)

Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Experience: 3= years of experience. Minimum 1 year of experience in Illumio micro segmentation tool.
