Job Purpose
We are looking for a high‑impact Product Manager – to own and evolve the end‑to‑end policy framework for our JLG lending business. The role will be central to balancing growth and risk by designing scalable, compliant, and field‑aligned policies across sourcing, underwriting, disbursement, renewals, and collections. This position requires close collaboration with risk, business, operations, technology, and compliance teams to translate policy intent into executable, system‑driven solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own and drive the policy lifecycle for JLG lending across customer acquisition, credit assessment, loan structuring, renewals, and collections
- Design, review, and enhance credit and operational policies to support portfolio growth while ensuring strong risk controls and portfolio quality
- Translate policy requirements into clear product rules and system logic, working closely with technology teams to enable automation and configurability
- Partner with Risk, Business, Operations teams to ensure policies are practical, compliant, and audit‑ready
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance, field feedback, and regulatory changes to recommend timely policy refinements
- Ensure alignment between policy design and on‑ground execution, minimizing exceptions, overrides, and manual interventions
- Support rollout of policy changes through training, documentation, and enablement of business and field teams
- Drive data‑backed decision‑making by defining policy‑linked metrics, guardrails, and monitoring dashboards
- Hands‑on experience working with credit policies, underwriting frameworks, eligibility criteria, and portfolio controls
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams including business, risk, ops, tech, and compliance
Educational Qualification
Graduate/Post Graduate
Experience
2+ years of experience in product, policy, risk, or business roles within banking, NBFCs, MFIs, or fintech lending.
Exposure to JLG, microfinance, or rural lending ecosystems preferred
