Role Description

The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure software quality. This role involves transitioning manual test cases into automated suites, validating system functionality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the continuous delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, or API applications.
Create and execute detailed automated test scripts based on functional requirements.
Perform automated regression, functional, and integration testing.
Identify, document, and track bugs effectively using defect tracking tools.
Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
Analyze test results and provide technical insights to improve software reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on Automation Testing.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, or Python).
Hands-on experience with automation tools like Katalon Studio, Selenium, or Cypress.
Familiar with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and version control (e.g., Git).
Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
