Role Overview
The Process Transformation – Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and translating complex business and operational data into actionable insights that drive process improvement, performance management, and informed decision-making. This role focuses on structured data analysis, reporting, and visualization, leveraging modern data platforms and BI tools to improve transparency, accuracy, and operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and document business and operational requirements related to reporting, analytics, and performance measurement.
- Design and maintain scalable data models and queries to support recurring and ad-hoc analysis.
- Perform extensive data preparation, relational data analysis, and trend identification using structured datasets (e.g., SQL-based sources).
- Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and validate data sources, queries, and reporting logic to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
- Identify operational issues, data inconsistencies, and performance gaps; proactively escalate insights and recommendations to management.
- Participate in problem resolution efforts, including root cause analysis and validation of data-driven solutions.
- Support monthly operational reporting, KPIs, and executive-level performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Apply strong data governance, documentation, and quality control standards when handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Perform other ad hoc analytical or reporting tasks aligned with the Process Transformation function, as assigned.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to translate data into clear business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake or similar data warehouses.
- Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power User level), including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and data modeling.
- Strong data visualization and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly summarize insights for executive audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated dependability and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related role.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL concepts, or analytics engineering practices.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata documentation.
- Exposure to Python or R for analytical tasks (nice to have).
- Experience supporting operational, financial, or marketplace-style datasets.
