Software Engineer, Senior

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Cortex AI Engineer to design and deliver AI-powered data and document intelligence solutions leveraging the modern Snowflake data platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake data engineering, Cortex AI services, semantic search, document intelligence, and LLM-driven analytics.

In this role, you will build intelligent data pipelines, AI-enabled document processing workflows, and semantic search capabilities that transform structured and unstructured data into meaningful, actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
* Leverage Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities to deliver automated insights, text summarization, and AI-driven data automation.
* Implement LLM-powered analytics and automation directly within SQL queries using Snowflake Cortex to generate answers and insights from structured and unstructured data.
* Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models using Snowflake Cortex AI to support analytics, decision intelligence, and business use cases.
* Build and manage end-to-end AI data pipelines, including data ingestion, feature engineering, AI inference execution, and persistence of results for analytics consumption.
* Develop and implement semantic search and intelligent retrieval solutions using Cortex Search and vector-based search techniques.
* Enable natural language and conversational analytics using Snowflake semantic views and intelligence layers.
* Perform data analysis, feature engineering, and model training using datasets stored in Snowflake.
* Develop predictive analytics models and AI-driven insights aligned with business and operational use cases.
* Integrate AI/ML models into production data workflows, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
* Support deployment, monitoring, tuning, and optimization of AI-powered data solutions in production environments.
* Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI-enabled solutions.

Required Skills
* Strong experience in SQL and advanced Snowflake development
* Programming experience with Python (for ML/AI workflows)
* Experience with:

* LLM APIs
* Prompt Engineering
* Embeddings and Vector Databases

* Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud
* Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
* Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
* Experience in ETL / ELT data pipeline development
* Experience working with REST APIs and cloud services
* Experience developing AI agents using MCP architecture
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working in Agile development environments
* Knowledge of:

* Natural Language Processing (NLP)
* Large Language Models (LLMs)
* Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
* AI model evaluation techniques

Preferred Skills
* Experience working with Snowflake Cortex AI
* Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise applications
* Knowledge of vector search and embeddings
* Familiarity with frameworks such as:

* LangChain
* LlamaIndex
* MLflow

* Experience building AI copilots or enterprise chatbots
