Cloud Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Server Administrator / Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to support and design scalable architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure and related services
• Design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance
• Handle network, security, and gateway configurations
• Support data center and hardware-related operations as needed
• Ensure system reliability, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
• Collaborate with teams on system improvements and architecture
• Prepare operational and cost-related reports
• Manage domains, DNS, and SSL certificates

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Linux Administration (5+ years)
• Server management, web stack (HAProxy, Apache, PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL), user management, backups, Bash scripting, ISPConfig, and mail services

• Cloud Engineering (5+ years)
• Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, and IBM SoftLayer

• Networking & DNS
• CDN and DNS management (including geolocation routing), domain providers, and SSL handling

• Security & Gateway
• pfSense (VPN, firewall, DHCP) and general network security practices

• Infrastructure & Data Center
• Hardware setup, cabling, switch and MikroTik maintenance

• Windows Server
• Basic administration, licensing, user management, and PowerShell scripting

• Monitoring & Tools
• Experience with tools like Zabbix and related platforms is a plus

• General
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage production environments

Desirable Skills

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix
• Familiarity with CDN and DNS providers (Akamai, CDNetworks, Namecheap, Webnic)
• Experience with Google Workspace administration
• Advanced cloud experience (e.g., Alibaba Cloud ALB, multi-cloud environments)
• Additional experience with pfSense VPN and gateway configurations

Other Requirements

• Willingness to provide 24/7 standby support and be reachable via support phone
• Ability to produce management reports, including cost analysis
• Experience managing domains and SSL certificates, including renewals

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux administration
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering
• Strong team player with experience in collaboration and system design
• Capable of working independently and handling critical infrastructure
