Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python-based backend development to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications within our Fintech environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building microservices, REST APIs, and data-intensive systems using Python, along with working knowledge of Java/Spring Boot ecosystems to support and collaborate across hybrid technology environments. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems for mission-critical, high-availability enterprise applications.  
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.  
• Work on event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka) to support real-time data processing and distributed systems.  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.  
• Contribute to systems involving both Python and Java-based services, ensuring interoperability and performance.  
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality deliverables.  
• Implement code best practices.  
• Proficient in Agile Methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.  

Required Skills (Primary Focus):

• 5+ years of experience in Python with hands-on experience in: FastAPI / Django / Flask and Building REST APIs and microservices  
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture (Kafka preferred)  
• Solid understanding of:  System design, Scalability and performance optimization, API design best practices  
• Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL / Oracle  
• Writing optimized queries and handling large datasets  
• Familiarity with Pyspark.  

Good to Have:

• Working experience with Java (JDK 11/17+)  
• Familiarity with: Spring Boot  
• Ability to understand, debug, or extend existing Java-based microservices
