Software Engineer in Test

Job Brief:

We are looking for passionate SDETs to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software products. We need the SDETs to have a solid experience and expertise in both manual and automation testing. The candidate should have experience in testing web as well as mobile applications.

Automation testing experience should be in Selenium WebDriver, Java. The candidate must also have an experience in API testing tools, and be well versed with DevOps practices.

Apart from the technical expertise, we also want the candidates to be passionate about delivering high quality software products. The candidate must have good communication skills and an ability to articulate well. The SDET must work with the team and be excited to confront challenging product situations with enthuse and creativity so as to deliver the best solution for our products and clients both.

Responsibilities:

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test cases to identify and report defects throughout the development lifecycle. They will also be responsible for following and enhancing QA processes to elevate the quality of products, user experience, delivery and the team’s culture.

Manual Testing:

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases to cover all functionalities of the software application.
• Identify and report bugs.
• Participate in exploratory testing sessions to discover unexpected issues.
• Perform regression testing on new builds and after bug fixes.

Automation Testing:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Integrate API testing tools like Postman and Rest Assured for comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers to improve the testability of the application.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks(both API and UI)
• DevOps Integration:
• Work with Git for version control of test scripts and automation frameworks.
• Understand and leverage DevOps principles to streamline the testing process.

Skills:

1. Well versed and experienced in working in an Agile team.
2. Expertise and hands on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java for web application testing.
3. 2+ years of experience with API testing tools like Postman and Rest Assured.
4. Working knowledge of Git for version control.
5. Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline integration would be a plus.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
8. Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
