About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled developer to design and build high-performance applications for Android, iOS, and WebOS. The ideal candidate combines expert-level Java proficiency with a deep understanding of real-time processing and modern video streaming standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Platform Development: Design and implement robust mobile applications for Android and iOS using native or cross-platform frameworks while ensuring specialized compatibility for WebOS (Smart TV environments.
- Low-latency Streaming: Architect and optimize event-driven systems to handle real-time data ingestion, and adaptive bitrate streaming (HLS/DASH) with minimal buffer delay.[HD1.1]
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline the build, test, and release process across various app stores and environments.
- Observability & Monitoring: Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to track application health, crash reports, and user engagement in real-time.
- API & Backend Integration: Develop and integrate complex RESTful and GraphQL APIs to facilitate real-time data exchange between mobile clients and cloud services.
- Performance Optimization: Rigorously monitor and optimize app performance, focusing on CPU efficiency, memory management, and battery life across diverse hardware.
You Must Have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Agile environments with a strong grasp of Git-based version control.
- Language Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Java [HD2.1]or Kotlin (for Android and backend services) and familiarity with platform-specific languages like Swift/Objective-C for iOS.
- Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a deep understanding of their mobile-specific service offerings and identity management (IAM).
- DevOps & Automation: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for automated mobile app distribution and signing.
- Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in integrating and using application performance monitoring (APM) tools like Firebase Crashlytics, New Relic, Datadog, or Sentry.
- Web App/Web SDK Development: Demonstrated ability to build web-centric applications for targeted platforms (e.g. [HD3.1]WebOS) using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Mobile Frameworks: Proficiency in tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, and cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native or Flutter).
- Security & Compliance: Deep understanding of mobile security best practices, including OAuth 2.0 and encryption.
It would be very good if you have experience in:
- Streaming Protocols: Hands-on experience implementing HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) and MPEG-DASH for adaptive bitrate delivery.
- Media Frameworks: Proficiency in integrating third-party players or native frameworks like ExoPlayer (Android/Java) and AVPlayer (iOS).
- Codec & DRM Knowledge: Understanding of video codecs (H.264, H.265) and Content Protection/Digital Rights Management (DRM) systems.
- Playback Optimization: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize live-streaming workflows, including buffer management and latency reduction.
