Job Description

As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Technology, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot.
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Thinks beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions.
Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience
Experience managing technologists
Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Practical cloud native experience
Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

Experience working at code level
