🎯 The Role

We are looking for a Data Test Automation Engineer with strong SQL expertise and a background in automation testing.

You will work at the intersection of data validation, API testing, and automation frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of data-driven systems in complex client environments.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in either:

• SQL + Python (automation scripting)
• SQL + Selenium (UI/API automation)
  
  

📍 Job location: Pune or Bangalore (Hybrid — 3 days per week in the office)

🕒 Contract type: Permanent

🗓 Target start date: Month Year

⏰ Working hours: Full-time (40h/week), aligned with the GMT timezone (starting at 1:00 PM IST)

💵 Compensation: INR 15,00,000 – 30,00,000 per year

💥 Your Impact

In This Role, You Will

• Design, develop, and execute data validation and automation test cases
• Build and maintain SQL queries and scripts to validate large datasets
• Perform API testing and backend validation across data pipelines
• Develop automation frameworks or reusable components (Python or Selenium-based)
• Collaborate with BAs, data engineers, and SMEs to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Identify data quality issues and perform root cause analysis
• Contribute to CI/CD testing pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, data quality, and SDLC best practices

👤 What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

• 5+ years of experience in data testing / ETL test automation
• Strong expertise in SQL (advanced queries, data validation, debugging)
• Experience testing databases (Snowflake, SQL Server, or similar)
• Hands-on experience in one of the following:
• Python for test automation
• Selenium for UI/API automation
• Experience with API testing (REST, validation techniques, tools)
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (data-driven, keyword, or hybrid)
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
• Understanding of data pipelines and workflows (e.g., Airflow)
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
  

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Exposure to consulting or client-facing environments
• Experience with Git version control
• Knowledge of Power BI or data reporting tools
• Experience working in international teams
